Wonderful program, even if you are not from Framingham, come and learn about the past...
Featured speaker: Phil Dubuque, Photographer
Many locals knew this house as “Igor’s Mansion” – a deserted and some say haunted concrete home situated on the back of Nobscot Mountain off of Wayside Inn Rd. Photographer, Phil Dubuque, became entranced with the house and was able to photograph the building from top to bottom before its demolition. His research lead him to the fascinating story of Alice Pearmain who designed the house at the turn of the 20th century. Who was this woman whose circle of friends included Mark Twain? Why did she use concrete to build her summer residence? What was the tragedy that befell her family? Alice’s life and her summer home in Framingham provide the motif for a fascinating story during this historic period.
