music, thoughts, books, dreams, more

Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

Five Satins - In the Still of the Night

another oldies that could make it big again...

Ed Townsend - For Your Love

This is a good novel, that keeps you at the edge of the chair to get to the next corner in the excitment so you can see what is going to happen next.  You will not guess who the bad guy is...don't peek!  Based on some of the discoveries we are finding in longevity, it educates as well as entertains.  Good reading!

L.A. Confidential

Product DetailsI watched this again the other night and enjoyed it so much, that I had to recall it for your enjoyment.  Remember Johnny Stompanato and Lana Turner, it reminded me of that...the story of the murder etc.. that occurred, although it was not in this picture, all was recalled.

How Django Reinhardt survived German occupation

Interesting history of the times, I just stumbled on.

LOUIS PRIMA - King of Jump & Jive 03

Share a little of a documentary on Louis Prima and Keely Smith

Boots Randolph - Night Train.wmv

Another star version of Night Train...good listening and comparing.

Night Train - Sam Butera

I love this number, and Louis Prima version, but Sam Butera does a good job, and he had to overcome the Louis Prima version to come out with his own...good job!

Sam Butera & The Witnesses - Let The Good Times Roll (Mafia II soundtrack)

Sam Butera was with Louis Prima for years, there is some of his music around, this is a good one.

The Gaylords-Eh Cumpari (Alitalia Airlines)

Be patient, listen to the whole thing, it is a blast!

Jimmy Dorsey - "So Rare"

This is one of my all time favorites, the instrument, the arrangment, the melody....just melt with joy for the whole creation.

RICKY NELSON - SOMEDAY

a whole new feel, a young male voice, answering his girfriend...no competition with the female singers..

patsy cline someday you'll want me to love you

The voice....her voice would sound good without any background, it had something special....what a difference between the Kitty Kallen version and this....Patsy had timbre, depth, a rich full sound...

Kitty Kallen - Someday (You'll Want Me To Want You) (1961)

The third great song, that could be revived, Kitty Kallen's sound is different for this song, notice?

Kitty Kallen - If I Give My Heart To You

In a long ago life, this was a song that your Mom or grandmother might have loved, as she dreamed of her boyfriend.  Her voice is plaintif, young and trusting, just right for the song.

DON CORNELL - HOLD MY HAND (U.K.No1 1954)

Don Cornell, great voice from the past and a song never or seldom heard on the oldies lists...isn't it wonderful?

Kay Starr - Comes A-Long A-Love

A blast from the past to start your day, a song never hear amongst the oldies
