music, thoughts, books, dreams, more

Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

Billy May - Adios

I Talk the Trees Clint Eastwood from Paint Your Wagon?

The beauty of the changing leaves....and would you believe Clint Eastwood.

Peerce and Powell - Talk to The Trees!

Here is a song that is likely well forgotten, it was a lovely tune, I remember my mother played this record often.

Xavier Cugat - Perfidia (Tonight I see a Message in your Eyes)

A wonderful version from the master of the time...Xavier Cugat...

Luis Miguel - Perfidia - Chile 2002

This is such a grand song!  Here is a heart throb from South America...with a great voice.....

Los Indios Tabajaras Amapola, Perfidia

Seems  I like to talk about songs that fit, the vocalist, here is a song that fits the guitar....its sweet, its longing...its bittersweet in the sounds of the guiltar.  I maintain that the song you pick, has to fit your voice....always bear that in mind and don't let anyone tell you otherwise....

JOHNNY MATHIS - BEGUIN THE BEGUINE -

and nowwwww folks!  This is my favorite...are you with me....love the arrangment, and the voice is smooth, velvety and reaches the high notes gently!

Begin the Beguine - Dionne Warwick In Brazil 1993

One more version, the voice with depth fits the song....I think!

Jo Stafford - Begin the Beguine

Here is another example of the sound of the voice for this piece....its just my opinion, what do you think?

Ella Fitzgerald∻"Begin The Beguine"

Here is a great voice for this song with the fullness  of tone , pitch and presentation..

Begin The Beguine -Sheryl Crow

In my opinion this song is not for Sheryl Crow, because this is the competition.
