Okay, I finally got to the book that started my 4 hour thinking session....about music and .......
It is my opinion that Jaron is brilliant, but like all scientists, they see what they want to see in their algorithms, life is more than that, it is beyond chaos theory, buried in it and surviving in it... it is.bursting forth with the very ideas that Jaron puts forth,( but lacking the rounded ideas that come from other disciplines, maybe)....I am a maybe person, who knows, the answer to all our concerns ? is it possible to even out society? Just the differences in people...I think are the constrain to evening out society.
Jaron mentions how discovery of machines costs jobs....The world is a better place by all our discoveries....the revolution of the machine age cost jobs BUT..... they were made up in sales and new manufacturing, and transportation and building of stores, roads, and those businesses gave fodder to more businesses growing up around them....etc...we have brought so many people out of poverty just by our freedom of creativity....when something works, why do we want to change it? Is there good reason to create the havoc of Obama care" for the 17% who don't have health care"
I think I recall that figure as he stated the quote above....think about that, and we don't even have a grip on the consequences of Obama care....will it cost jobs? Will it create jobs and more costs?
So, why would advent of computers cause the middle class to teeter and fall....to me it is more than that, it is a complicated world of rising wages and pensions that the population can not continue to pay. The fire fighters, at the start... for example 10 could support the pension of the one retiring....now it is an incredible number of workers who are needed to pay for the one person retiring.....it is something to look up...how many does it take to pay the pension of each public union worker as they retire. Just looking at that chart indicates it is a problem which we are not dealing with...chaos is in charge here for sure.
Maybe, it is calling for a change in how we choose and elect our leaders, a change in how we collect taxes and determine our budgets. It is having educated qualified leaders elected who understand the complications of modern society....that realize chaos theory may never give us any answer except that we have to let it lead us because maybe it will continue to improve society . Unbridled freedom requries chaos...it. brought us to the United States, maybe chaos theory can look at what the rapid and ever fast changing rules , regulations and rising taxation is doing to ideas, inventions and job creation? Wouldn't you start by examining the obvious problem, before inventing another problem, that we can't predict, just guess at....all the people earning nickels and dimes from their facebook pages will probably resent having to pay taxes on that, then what.?? Everytime we make a change, we have a consequence....Why do we always need to look at the breadwinners and their success and think we have to tear them down, what about the jobs they created that go with their tear down...??
As Jaron himself, seemed to say in his talk on tv this morning ...Obama care is headed to the same problem we have faced in the economic world, a crash!
Freedom has to be first and foremost, for individuals. We fought for it, Civil Rights, World Wars and now that the freedom fights are waning, we are looking for more ways to make people slaves....that is what free benefits to able bodied people creates...it disinherits them from their life goals. How dare we be so bold, I ask?

Anyway...I don't have answers, I have thoughts, I have questions, and I am sure you do too! I would hate to see the internet constrained, taxed and sites like your facebook account for sale....
Who knows how to kill an elephant? I think we have great ideas in this country to kill our fabulous free society, don't you?
