. On day two, dieters eat one egg, half a banana and one slice of toast for breakfast; one cup of cottage cheese and three saltine crackers for lunch; two hot dogs, one cup of broccoli, half a cup of carrots and one cup of vanilla ice cream for dinner

On day three, dieters eat three saltine crackers, one slice of cheddar cheese and one small apple for breakfast; one hard boiled egg along with a slice of toast for lunch; one cup of tuna, one beet, one cup of cauliflower, half a cup of cantaloupe and half a cup of vanilla ice cream for dinner. There are no snacks in between meals, and with each and every meal, dieters are allowed black coffee, tea or water (some versions also allow diet soda.)

Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal,from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!
