music, thoughts, books, dreams, more
Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

Della Reese - Don't You Know? ("Puccini")
One of my favorites by Della
Della Reese - A Hundred Years from Today
long before Amy Winehouse we had this grand sound from Della
100 Years From Today- The Spaniels
an example of that same beautiful song in Doo Wop
Perry Botkin Jr - A Hundred Years From Today
A great song is great no matter how you present it....
Top 40 Hits Of 1940 7 Jimmy Dorsey The Breeze and I
Just before the war, everything was quiet, and I thought normal, all over the world. This was the sound of radio in our living room, when I lived on Hollis and Waushakum Blvd, and went to Memorial School.. The fabulous Dorsey brothers had their own radio show and through their music and the sound of the sax, I dreamed of the world I saw in the movies. In those days the fire department on Hollis Street blew its whistle to call for volunteer firemen, to announce the 5 pm quitting time, or for us kids to go home for dinner.... and to announce an important event...like the day the 2nd World War ended!
Earl Bostic - Blue Moon (from the album Alto-Tude, 1956)
The great Earl Bostic...again, can't get enough of his sound....even after all these years..
Patrizio Buanne - you don't have to say you love me.
