music, thoughts, books, dreams, more

Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

Billy Ocean - When the Going Gets Tough

A song that conveys the spirit of our country, I once believed in as a child. I love this song, it is uplifting and helps to get you going!

When I played  this , this morning, all of a sudden memories flooded me, I remembered my uncles being drafted at the onset of the Second World War, and I cried, just as Meggie did in my book, Secrets of the Heart, when the war came. One thing we had then, we were united in spirit, we knew we were fighting for something worthwhile. Our hearts were in our throats, as our men went to war, but, what a country we lived in then, everyone pitched in, personal, and group sacrifice. War clouds hung over us, but when the going got tough, the tough got going.!

Rod Stewart - Do you think I'm sexy

You know I love Rod Stewart. I am waiting for him to sing , Garden in the Rain, a great Sarah Vaughn song.....hope he does some more of the great oldies... Rod takes this one in the battle of the male singers...he beats out Tom Jones

Les Paul LOVER 78rpm Tube Record Player Röhrenradio

Well, we can't count Les Paul as a diva, but he did a good job on Lover...

Peggy Lee---Lover

Wow! was it the 70's? Peggy Lee blew us away with this great melodic composition, and her voice.....can we have a battle of the divas with this

Night Train By Buddy Morrow

Night Train by Buddy Morrow is the one that sticks with me but, the Battle of the Bands, says that Louis Prima, gives him a good run, I like Buddy the best on this one.

All Night Long-Louis Prima And Keely Smith(1956).avi

Keely you got it! Love this song, rhythm, vocals, it has it all. The Rat Pack, knew good music, when they picked this team of Keely and Louis to entertain them nightly in Vegas...

"I Wish You Love" Keely Smith

Battle of the Singers....Keely Smith does a wonderful job on this song, and so does Chris Connor.....their voices are so different, and the rhythm is distinct, so to me, each is beautiful in its own way.... so enjoy Keely, her gorgeous voice, is a memory of the times, when she and Louis Prima, entertained the Rat Pack in Vegas....

Guy Mitchell - Singing The Blues (Live!)

"Singing the Blues," it takes you back ...It was my pick up song on dark days, I loved the rhythm, and danced around the house to get out of the "blahs"
