Edge 394: Sendhil Mullainathan: "Whats The Question About Your Field That You Dread Being Asked?"
I enjoy reading this site. Hope it gets you thinking I plan to buy a couple of books today to keep me excited about the wonderful, marvelous, exciting world we live in. There are some great books out now about the 2nd World War. from other points of view, than what we read immediately after the war....and because I loved Freedoms Forge so much, I will be devouring another one...will keep you posted.
The world we knew is so different from the world we experience today....our culture driven by a big change that came with Woodstock, then subsequently the music and entertainment business is not the culture I would have wanted for our children. Just pick up a copy of Cosmos... do we really need our teens reading this type of information, leading them to think it is mainstream and acceptable behavior? I don't even have to tell you which issue of the magazine to refer to, because every issue is devoted to sex.
Our mixed signal world is confusing to adults, so how can we guide our children? What do you think? But then, what do I know?
