music, thoughts, books, dreams, more

Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

Heaven 9/11

Search Amazon.com for anarchy

The tragedy of 9/11
I was thinking about it, as I learned that 7,000 Marines lost their lives on Iwo Jima, to bring us toward the goal of winning the Second World War. How horrible that battle was! Tears and more tears..part of .this is in my new book, "Enchanted", coming soon.

Imagine, on 9/11, in one day 3,000 innocent civilians died because of anarchist radical religious beliefs. It argues for  me that civil disobedience is not tolerable to win an argument, and the college professors who teach and encourage it, have lost sight of what happens when people are radicalized.

I have not read the posted book, I think from the reviews that it might give both sides of the argument for those that want to think more about radicalism and its effect on society.

The Arcanum...the story of Porcelain

While talking about porcelain this morning, and enjoying the beauty of Meissen and Motahedeh, I found this book and immediately ordered the first chapter for my Kindle.  I bought this model Kindle, and I love it...  First chapter free, you can then order the rest of it on the kindle, or buy the book for your library.   I, for one, can not imagine a home without a library.  My home has books in almost every room.

The Kindle is amazing, because you can reference right along with the reading, by underlining, try one and see. I bought a cover with the Kindle that covers the reading surface with plastic and the cord fits tightly in the back pocket.  I love the cover but for some reason can not find it to display.  You have the Kindle handy all the time without having to open it, and you can clean the surface easily.

You can buy my book," Secrets of the Heart" , on Kindle,  a novel of how the inner mind works, including what we are learning about other dimensions, all  based on story telling , by a dying woman and her friends who have passed on to the next life.  Some movie producers are looking at my first book, and the scenes are so distinct that maybe it will catch somone's attention.   How can one be so lucky to get that kind of attention for a first novel?

Hopefully, my publisher will have my second book today, "Enchanted," a memoir of growing up during the Second World War in the small town of Framingham, Mass., what life was like in the early 40;s and 50's.
Masterpieces of Chinese Export Porcelain: from the Mottahedeh Collection in the Virginia Museum

The Mottahedeh Swan Service is wonderful, you can probably find a picture of it on the internet.  It is discontinued, which makes it valuable to collectors, and very hard to find.  I stumbled on a whole dinner collection in Palm Springs, California years ago, and did not know enough at the time to buy it , because now a coffe pot without the lid goes for over $400 .  What beauty to behold...

The Caisson Song (Original US Army Song) - Singalong with Lyrics

\\We fought hard, and long to keep our country free, we created music , film and a spirit that changed our world, coming soon, my observations of what happened during the Second World War, as a child of 7 -11.

"Enchanted"   it was a time, when men where drafted and  lost their dreams of the future, their opportunities  some lost their girl friends to other men.  Some women lost their men to women in foreign lands. How many never came home to pick up their dream?  How many came home to never know life the same again?  What sacrifices !  We rolled bandages at the kitchen table at night, we saw the horror of war at our Saturday "kids" matinee!  Instead of Cowboys and Indians we took to playing and singing songs like this, and winning our make believe battles of the war, in the vacant fields and yards around Hollis Street in Framingham, Mass.
