Madlyn Fafard,

music, thoughts, books, dreams, more

Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

Billy May And His Orchestra: Perfidia

This is a reminder of Billie May and the Totem Pole,at Norembega Park. I don't know if my date that night was Artie Parks from Holliston, or John Mc Carthy from Framingham, but I was so happy, my first date at the wonderful, dreamy Totem Pole! Everyone of the girls I knew longed for a date there! We also had Storyville , in Boston.

Bert Kaempfert - Wimoweh

Was this a hit in the early 50's or later? Bert Kaempfert style music swept over us for awhile....

Ray Conniff - Eres Tú

A major hit in the early 70's., I was in Spain on vacation and it was playing there as well as in the States.

"Love is a many splendored thing"（慕情）

Xavier Cugat - Cherry Pink & Apple Blossom White

Our Latin period, was it the early 60's?

Stan Getz & Charlie Byrd - Desafinado

This album rocked for us in the time of "The Girl from Ipenema", and others

THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY

I could never forget this movie that was frightening to me. I was young enough to probably wonder if someone could make a deal with the devil.
