music, thoughts, books, dreams, more
Just my world of dreams, music and thoughts. Author of two books, one a novel of Love stories set in Framingham, Mass, Secrets of the Heart the 2nd book an autobiography of growing up in Framingham, Mass. Small Town America, Framingham My generation was the first teenage generation, that was when the word was coined. Ours was the generation that started cruising through town and to the drive in theater and drive in restaurant. In our area, Ernie Kampersal, from Holliston, drove his bucking car through town, picking up girls. It rose in the air, like a stallion! We went to the soda shops and played the juke boxes. It was a different town, a different time, and it belonged to us!

The Magic of Cucumbers
This was circulating on the web and worth reading ..
WOW WHAT A LITTLE GEM THE CUCUMBER IS, I WILL LOOK AT IT DIFFERENTLY NOW.
1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.
3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.
4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area.
5 Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!!
6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!
7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.
8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.
9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber slice and rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!
10. Stressed out and don't have time for a massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber will react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown to reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.
11. Just finished a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemcials will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.
12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine - it won't leave streaks and won't harm your fingers or fingernails while you clean.
13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!
Pass this along to everybody you know who is looking for better and safer ways to solve life's everyday problems

If you don't keep up with the latest on physics and the hidden worlds, and if you only read one book in your life, this is it. Even if you keep up with what happens in matter, particles, quantum physics and more, you need to read this.
I read it, then saw the C/D gave it to the "kids", who are not old enough to pay attention. When life hits them in the face, they might find it again! This is something we all should try to understand. It is the key to the future of health and well being and how we enter the next century as people of the world. There is so much being discovered about us, matter, reality, consciousness, etc., that this is a great beginning for anyone who wants to know the answers to the great questions.
The answers are not here, but the discoveries are pointing the way! Who are we, why are we here, what is our purpose on earth? You will begin to think about life in a different way, guaranteed!
The book is shown on the left and the c/d is on the right side.

BLACKLISTED BY HISTORY, M. Stanton Evans
It is refreshing to have someone investigate the facts of what was a tough time for many of us growing up during these hearings conducted by McCarthy. We listened to his hearings nightly and wondered at the conspiracy that he was unfolding. Then suddenly Mc Carthy was destroyed! Now, after years of research there is a window of understanding of what was happening. Our generation was the last to learn of the communist manifesto, we were the ones that saw Krushev pound his shoe and say, that we would be conquered! Now looking back, and knowing what the manifesto is, you can see that every article of the communist manifesto is in place and being carried out faithfully from our schools to our colleges, and into the very government we were taught to treasure.
The Language of God, Francis S. Collins
This was very enjoyable, especially learning about the belief of someone who has studied DNA in such depth. It still boils down to faith, but any thinking person has to think that there must be more to life than what we think, see experience. There has to be a reason for intellect, or what good is it?
The Language of Life, Francis S. Collins
Francis Collins, wrote also" The Language of God," which I also enjoyed. Please read the reviews and see what you think.
Collins information about DNA and how you can take care of yourself, in spite of hereditary disease is hopeful. Stem cell treatments that show promise and the long road we still have in learning to handle the new information from DNA, how to use the information and learn from what we know.

Amstrong- kiss to build a dream on
Watching the news, listening to the commentators, sitting here feeling terrible about the conditions we face in the world, I decided to go back to a time between the wars....Louis sang this in those long ago days, it was a time of love for us teens! A way to relax by thinking of the good times.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
George Harrison, wow! we can not forget his music. What did you think of Paul McCartney's rude remark about our past president. I hope none of us would ever stand before the English and make a rude remark like that directed toward a past queen or prime minister. Paul, that was not worldy of you!
The Shadow Of Your Smile - Kenny G
Ah, Kenny G, lets not forget the beautiful music he makes!
Lena Horne - It Had Better Be Tonight (Meglio Stasera) - Remixed
I wanted some thing to remember Lena Horne, who was fabulous in voice, figure, and face! This song was one of the best, from the Pink Panther film.
"Route 66" - The Manhattan Transfer (2008)
Have you ever traveled across country by vehicle. If not, rent a motorhome, make it yours with comfort, and head out for freedom. Go see our great land, see our people, recall our freedom! What gorgeous skies on route 10 in Texas, heading back east! What a difference in the landscape as you cross the rockies , the desert and head back to the east. People died for this magnificent country, not once, but many times! Go see the grandeur and marvel at it, as my husband and I have. It is unforgettable!

http://www.vonward.com
Here is a site that is interesting, it involves studying who we are , where we could have come from, and it searches the world for answers. People who study the unknown bring us closer all the time to answers that maybe some of us are afraid to find. Consciousness is incredible, its continuing existence is something I choose to believe in, and hope to confirm beyond a doubt. It will certainly help to make the world a better place, when we come to that conclusion, as a species.. Paul Von Ward has written a few very interesting books, on his studies, that are worth reading if you are interested in the mysteries of our universe and the questions many of us ask ourselves.

The Ghost Mountain Boys by James Campbell
The misery of war, the insurmountable task of taking New Guinea, and the picture that McArthur painted, are all in this book. The terrain of New Guinea is so daunting, and the men were not prepared for the jungle, or the terrifying terrain. Their supplies were not jungle supplies, the amount of equipment they had to carry was overwhelming. The jungle life, animals, bugs, snakes, crocs, and the changes in altitude as they climbed up and down mountains offered incredible odds. Disease stalked the men, while they held on to dreams about home and their families, that kept them alive and moving each day.
The natives were cannibals, the Japanese wrote home about cannabalizing their own, this is how bad the job was for both sides. Our troops had to fight against Japanese soldiers whose culture honored death before surrender, and an Emperor that told them to fight to the death. Surrender was not an option for our men, because life was not honored by the Japanese fighting men, who were starving and hung the Australians that they caught from trees, then stripped their flesh, wrapping it in leaves for future meals.
Our men on the way to New Guinea, impregnated the Australian wives and girlfriends of the Australian troops and created enemies of our partners in the war to win against the axis. I actually cried about 1/2 way through the book. It is daunting to read, but something you can not put down. You know that some of the men returned and that is how we have the story now, about one of the fiercest battles in the 2nd World War.

PRESIDENT KENNEDY ONCE SAID THAT A DINNER FOR NOBEL LAUREATES WAS THE GREATEST CONCENTRATION OF BRAIN POWER EVER GATHERED AT THE WHITE HOUSE, EXCEPT WHEN THOMAS JEFFERSON DINED ALONE.
one of the most brilliant men ever!
Obviously, he was a man ahead of his time.
HOW DID JEFFERSON KNOW?
Especially: Read the last quote from 1802.
When we get piled
upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,
we shall become as corrupt as Europe ..
Thomas Jefferson
The democracy will cease to exist
when you take away from those
who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson
It is incumbent on every
generation to pay its own debts as it goes.
A principle which if acted on would save
one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson
I predict future happiness for
Americans if they can prevent the government
from wasting the labors of the people under the
pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson
My reading of history convinces me
that most bad government results from too much
government.
Thomas Jefferson
No free man shall ever be debarred
the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson
The strongest reason for the
people to retain the right to keep and bear arms
is, as a last resort, to protect themselves
against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson
The tree of liberty must be
refreshed from time to time with the blood of
patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson
To compel a man to subsidize with
his taxes the propagation of ideas which he
disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that
banking institutions are more dangerous to
our liberties than standing armies.
If the American people ever allow
private banks to control the issue of their
currency, first by inflation, then by
deflation, the banks and corporations that will
grow up around the banks will deprive the people
of all property - until their children
wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers
conquered.'
Now, it is time to remind you to read Atlas Shrugged, again by Ayn Rand, once the 2nd largest seller in the world, next to the Bible....

THE 19TH WIFE by David Ebershoff
Spurred by great reviews
like these, Washington Post Book World, Los Angeles Times, and the New York Times, I decided to give it a try and it held my interest for the 2-3 days it took to read it through.
I was interested in how the Mormon leaders were able to convince their followers that it was God's will, to practice polygamy.Naturally, it was like all man made religions, a leader declares it and the sheep blindly follow. Even in their hearts they knew, it was not the right thing. Isn't that true of all religious followers, when something is wrong in the heart, you know it.
Not that this is a biography, it is a work of fiction, but human beings know inside when they are doing right and or wrong, they know the difference between lust and love, and the conflict is obvious in the actions of the men, and women, as the story teller shows between the lines, that emotion and love are hard to corral, when there are too many people to spread your feelings amongst. As you will see when you experience a polygamous household, in the book.
It also points to the need to be more stringent in the welfare system, since the cult that remains, not the Mormons as we know them today, but the ones who disobey our laws and still practice polygamy, (the firsts, as they are referred to in the boook)are benefiting from the welfare system of our country, while acting outside the law.
If you have 10 celestial wives, they are not recognized as wives, so they can collect, mulitply that by $500 a month and you can see the benefit to the man of having serial wives, who can collect. Work is no longer necessary for the man, and he satisfies his lust with as many women as he can manage to support with the welfare checks and his house.
The book will keep you interested, until about the last third, if you are like me, I was at that point getting anxious to speed up the action. Weaving back and forth between speakers, it became a little dull when the 19th wife was on the speaking circuit. An arane feeling came over me, and that is what made it drag. But, then it got back to the action, as the story neared its end, and conclusions were reached as to who the murderer was, and what happened to the 19th wife.
It would be a good book club selection , with a guide at the back to assist.

The spill, true compassion requires action!
True leaders feel the suffering and spring into action, they are compassionate and empathetic. Folks who consider themselves compassionate, understanding , loving, can not get stuck in the suffering it is enough to stop anyone in their tracks. Focus is required, focus on the problem, lifting the sorrow and suffering.
As I write this I hear talking heads on tv discussing the wealth of BP, and how they can get it., how they want investigations on unethical business, etc etc..The focus is wrong, now is not the time to call names, try to grab money and start investigations, now is the time for us to gather together and take action to stop the suffering and sorrow. We need to team up with BP, and make this disaster go away from our people our shores! Congress is demonstrating its inability to lead because they can not focus on what is necessary when it is necessary, and that is clean up and prevention, so people can have their lives back, now!
Take it on a small individual basis. A child is drowning, you can be angry, complain focus on the lack of parenting, concentrate on calling authorities, etc or you can jump in the water and save the child. Action is the only need we have right now!
I agree with David DeCenzo . We should not boycott BP, they could go bankrupt and not pay any of the bills. They need money to make the reparations that will be enormous, do not punish those that are already suffering by being anxious to kill the perpetrator! This is the true meaning of "turn the other cheek." We need to support BP, so that they can be responsible for the damage.
If Hannity can spotlight the different methods to clean spills in water, then why is our President and Congress not doing anything! This is enormous, compared to Hurrican Katrina, why didn't we learn from that disaster the necessity of immediate action!
It boils down to government versus private business once again., if Hannity has the answers, why hasn't Congress been discussing them and springing into action.
What leadership emerged and what did not emerage and why? What would a businessman have done if this was his shore that was going to be devastated? You would run home to secure your home when you heard a hurricane was coming. You board up windows, remove anything that could fly around the yard etc. Nothing, was done, nothing! That is the true heartbreak! No preventive action was asked for from our people or considered by our Congress or our President, we waited for the company to figure it out while they tried to stop the break, and millions of gallons of oil spread on our shores.
My feeling is that we will develop new technology and preventive measures from this disaster that will benefit all of us. Hannity had wonderful ideas submitted on his show, to clean the oil spill. With these proven ideas demonstrated on the show, we know that we can establish new safety measures, that includes hugh nets that can mop up spills. It is wonderful to see the innovation, and it is sad to see the slow response of our government to clean up as BP trys to cap the pipe. We could have stopped the disaster from reaching our shores, and started the clean up. Now Florida is waiting for the oil to travel to it's shores and nothing is being done to capture it before it does its damage.
How can we move our Congress into action, what if this was an attack on our country? In retrospect, I wonder why Congress did not meet on the event immdediately and call for protective action from our brilliant scientists, inventors, and the many working companies that could have stepped up and instituted protective measures immediately. Instead they are discussing possible penalties, fines and actions against a company overwhelmed with guilt and responsibility.. Everything seems to be backwards in this world. Our people needed immediate action, not someone to think about future penalties.
We need to learn to turn the other cheek, this is an example of truly understanding that lesson. Turn the other cheek help to solve the problem, do not exacerabe the problem and increase the suffering! Quit complaining and call your Congressman and tell him or her to move the President off dead center, maybe he has to get the names of these people with the clean up ability, who are trying to contact the government from Hannity!
Our government is now facing the danger of losing our best friend, England, of destroying the pensions of our English friends, of killing a company, all because we are focusing on complaints, sorrow and suffering. This is not helpful to those who are crying, who have lost their life long jobs and businesses. They need to see action. The liberated countries of Europe are what come to mind, they saw action, marching through the streets when Victory in Europe was declared. Though devastated, hope was before their eyes. What have we done to give our people HOPE!
We need to create a positive attitude, we need a leader that knows how to do that, to speak to our people and say..".help BP to solve the problem, support clean up, suppor the locals, I am sending private businessmen to clean up the bayous, work will begin within so many days, and you will be back in business within a month!" Not just talk, mean it and get it done! Put together work crews, unemployed, trusted prisoners, national guard, whatever, but get it done.!
Now is the time to create jobs, offer hope, get the new clean up ideas out on the surface of the ocean and swamps to capture the oil. Action is what we need, compassion, understanding and all the help the brilliance of our country can bring to the table.
We can do it with leadership. Our government is lacking in what we as a country are known for,the men and women who braved public opinion and failure to step up to the plate and make things happen, right or wrong but get an action in place! Where are these leaders? We need to find them and vote them into office. We love our action figures, now we need to create action figures in government instead of complacent politicians, vote seekers who occupy office for life, who do not know the daily travails of surviving in business and the need to spring into action.
Let the oil clean up fund we hold languish, while are shores are polluted, hmmm? Could this possibly have a reason?

This could bring a break through in the way we approach cancer, viral causes have been established in some cancers, and I would not be surprised to find out that there are many more. When I was a child, I often wondered when I ate the flesh of an animal, would I get cancer , if I inadvertenly ate that animal's cancer cells? Our bodies are suppose to be able to handle that according to....but, how does anyone really know?
For years, I have seen in the alternate health area, the idea that cancer is caused by a virus; the viral damage could linger for a long time before blooming into cancer, or it could trigger a cancer right away.
It boils down to the same thing we learn in teaching. There are multifaceted ways to look at everything, and approach problems. Maybe this is why so many of us are interested in alternate health. There are theories that say fungus, yeast , mold, alkaline acid balance in the body, are causes of cancer. We could be overwhelmed and we are, maybe all these things cause cancer.

Researchers optimistic in cancer fight, as disease spreads
Agence France-Presse
06-08-10
Medical researchers are posting optimism in the long fight against cancer as advances were unveiled to combat the disease that continues to rise and remains the second biggest killer in the world.
"Our growing understanding of cancer's complex behavior is being translated into better, more targeted drugs against a variety of tumors," Douglas Blayney, president of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), said at the group's annual meeting.
The most encouraging results unveiled in Chicago last week during the world's biggest gathering of cancer experts demonstrated the growing role of therapies targeting key tumor functions or helping the immune system destroy cancer cells instead of standard chemotherapy.
These advances showed increased rates of survival, particularly among patients with advanced or metastasized cancers, such as melanoma. There are few, if any, treatments against these types of cancers.
An experimental antibody known as ipilimumab activates the immune system's T cells, which then seek and destroy melanoma cells, instead of targeting the cancer cell itself like previous treatments.
Researchers found the drug was the first to extend the lives of patients with advanced melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Melanoma cases have climbed faster than any other cancer type over the past 30 years.
Another new experimental drug, crizotinib was shown to shrink tumors in advanced lung cancer patients with a specific type of genetic alteration by neutralizing an enzyme implicated in cancer cell growth, known as anaplastic lymphoma kinase, or ALK.
Lung cancer is the most frequent and deadliest of all cancers worldwide.
Another clinical trial found that long-term treatment with the drug Avastin, which cuts off supply of nutrient-rich blood to tumors, may help control progress of advanced ovarian cancer.
Adding radiation therapy to androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) was also found to cut by 43 percent the risk of death in men suffering from locally advanced or high-risk prostate cancer.
"We really want to improve the quality of life of the patients with fewer side effects and some of these new approaches really accomplished that," University of Pennsylvania professor of medicine Lynn Schuchter told AFP.
Driving home that point, the ASCO meeting devoted its theme this year to "advancing quality through innovation."
Despite the progress and improvement of care since president Richard Nixon declared war against cancer in 1971, the disease remains far too frequent in the United States.
The American Cancer Society (ACS) estimates that nearly 1.5 million new cases were recorded in 2009, killing over 560,000 people.
A recent report by the World Health Organization warned the number of cancer deaths could double worldwide by 2030, to reach 13 million.
As industrialized countries struggle to care for an aging population, nearly half of all men and one in three women will be diagnosed with cancer in their lives, according to the ACS.
Several types of cancers -- liver, pancreas, ovarian, lung and brain -- are particularly lethal and do not respond well to existing therapies.
But the incidence of cancer is tied to lifestyles, placing the onus on prevention efforts.
Nearly 40 percent of the drop in male cancer deaths from 1990 to 2006 owed to a reduction in lung cancer, whose main culprit is smoking.

About TMS
Magnetic stimulation may lift some depression. (Poststroke Patients).: An article from: Clinical Psychiatry News
About TMS
Depression is a big problem for many people. Although I have read recently that people can take control of their minds, learn to refocus, and help themselves with guidance on mind control, some people just can not get control.
This is a great break through because it does not involve the use of medication, that travels thru your body and all your organs. It shows great promise!

3day diet
This works, and you can substitute a broiled small hamburger for the hotdog, or a few slices of roast beef.
the following is one version of the diet: On day one, dieters have half a grapefruit and one slice of toast with one to two tablespoons of peanut butter for breakfast; half a cup of tuna (or chicken) with a slice of toast for lunch; 3 ounces of lean meat, once cup of string beans, one cup of carrots (or beets), one apple and half a cup of vanilla ice cream for dinner
. On day two, dieters eat one egg, half a banana and one slice of toast for breakfast; one cup of cottage cheese and three saltine crackers for lunch; two hot dogs, one cup of broccoli, half a cup of carrots and one cup of vanilla ice cream for dinner
. On day three, dieters eat three saltine crackers, one slice of cheddar cheese and one small apple for breakfast; one hard boiled egg along with a slice of toast for lunch; one cup of tuna, one beet, one cup of cauliflower, half a cup of cantaloupe and half a cup of vanilla ice cream for dinner. There are no snacks in between meals, and with each and every meal, dieters are allowed black coffee, tea or water (some versions also allow diet soda.)

Dietary SupplementsVersus Drugs,
Interesting article. As a user of dietary supplements rather than drugs, whenever possible, I do not like the idea of regulating dietary supplements, such as vitamins and the like. Instead of ibuprophen, for arthritis, I take peptan 500 a purified collegen powder and Danish Rose Hips. The FDA says this is safe and it works in many people.
Here is the article, for you to view.. by the way have you noticed how many drugs are advertised on TV, maybe that is where we need to start, we are building a pill dependent nation. If you have children start counting the ads, drugs, such as and including Viagra, .. this should be the pervue of the doctor and not advertised for the youth of America to try and get,for recreational use.
In Florida there are clinics everywhere for dangerous drugs, and the addiction problem is seriously linked to the easy access in the clinics. They have traced people from Tennessee and Alabama for example driving to the nearest Florida clinic to get oxycontin and then bringing it back to their state and selling it on the street.
The Lethal Impact of Flawed Government
By Bill Faloon
Horrifying problems are being overlooked by a majority of the American citizenry.
We hear almost daily reports of governmental ineptitude and fraud but blindly assume this will not seriously impact us.
Complacency in the face of oppressive and ineffective government is absurd in light of real world examples that exist today.
An extreme illustration can be seen between the per capita income of North and South Korea. If you are fortunate enough to live in South Korea, you enjoy annual per capita income of $26,000, but those confined to North Korea struggle with a meager annual per capita income of $1,700. The North Korean government shoots those who try to flee to China or the South.
It was not always this way. In the early part of last century, North Korea was the prosperous part of the country. It has more natural resources and had greater industrial development. After suffering nearly 60 years under the rule of a centrally directed economic dictatorship, the population is impoverished. Famine is estimated to have killed millions in the mid 1990s and remains a threat today. South Korea, on the other hand, has the 30th highest per capita income in the world.
The difference between South and North Korea is government.
In the United States today, our government is being manipulated at every level by pharmaceutical interests. As Life Extension® adamantly predicated in the 1980s, the inevitable consequence of governmental intrusion into health care is the approval of dangerous drugs, the delay of lifesaving therapies, and the financial insolvency of this nation.
In the coming months, you will be reading inside reports about how prescription drugs are being marked up 100 times over the cost of manufacture. Consumers pay these rip-off government-protected prices through their medical insurance premiums, prescription drug co-pays, or out-of-pocket purchases of FDA-approved medications.
To add insult to the largest consumer fraud in the history of mankind, pharmaceutical interests have successfully lobbied Congress to pass the Medicare Prescription Drug Act of 2007 and the Health Care Reform Act of 2010 that mandates that tax dollars be used to pay these grossly inflated prescription drug prices. Just imagine owning a business where you sell something for 100 times more than it costs to make, and the government guarantees you get paid in full when your customers don’t have the money?
As you will read in this report, pharmaceutical industry greed extends beyond the hundreds of billions of profits guaranteed by your tax dollars. They are also using the government to suppress competition from low-cost dietary supplements by having agencies like the GAO (General Accounting Office) disseminate biased information for the purposes of motivating Congress to pass even more restrictive legislation against what you are allowed to put in your body.
You still have a choice as to whether this country goes the way of North or South Korea. Email your Congressional Representative and two Senators that you will not tolerate them denying your free access to dietary supplements.

Ayn Rand , do you know her, read her!
In 1991, the book-of-the-month club conducted a survey asking people what book had most influenced their lives. The Bible ranked number one and Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged was number two. In 1998, the Modern Library released two lists of the top 100 books of the 20th century. One was compiled from the votes of the Modern Library's Board, consisting of luminaries such as Joyce Carol Oates, Maya Angelou, Edmund Morris, and Salman Rushdie. The two top-ranked books on the Board's list were Ulysses and The Great Gatsby. The other list was based on more than 200,000 votes cast online by anyone who wanted to vote. The top two on that list were Atlas Shrugged (1957) and The Fountainhead (1943). The two novels have had six-figure annual sales for decades, running at a combined 300,000 copies annually during the past ten years. In 2009, Atlas Shrugged alone sold a record 500,000 copies and Rand's four novels combined (the lesser two are We the Living [1936] and Anthem [1938]) sold more than 1,000,000 copies.

Off Shore Drilling
Just wondering, as many boaters know, the ocean has various depths, whether close to shore or even miles off shore. If we drilled in shallower water, even closer to shore rather than excessive miles out to sea, would we have been able to handle this disaster quicker, and more efficiently? Maybe this question should be part of the analysis of the off shore drilling regulations. I don't claim to know the answers, however, before we shut down the industry with a ban, we should be considering how to avoid this type of accident and if the distance off shore could be taken into account.
The other question is that rather than have the fisherman, and many men who are out of work, just sit there and do nothing, why not use them BP to build even small berms that would contain the oil along the shorelines that have not been touched yet? People are desparate for jobs, especially in the States that are hit with this pollution. Again, I am not an expert on this, but in addition to a million dollars BP has given for relief to be doled out, why not provide jobs in the clean up which should be going on now with as many workers as possible.

kids love this, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl
Many children have already seen the movie, but that might be more incentive to read the book, and maybe they would love to have the book in their collection! Pay attention, ask them how they like the story, find out what kinds of books they like to read. My grandson loves science fiction and I encourage that, he has a collection of authors he follows. Now , I am trying to broaden his spectrum into other subjects.
Books for young early teens, I am the Cheese
Robert Cormier, is a prize winning author, and this book helps kids sort out problems, when they encounter the problems of the hero in the story! Go to the library or buy the book. I recommend trying to build a library for your children, buy them used on line. My grandchildren treasure the libraries they have been building over the years.
Get your kids to read! A Wrinkle in Time( for 9-11 year olds)
When I taught school this was one of the favorites of my 5th grade class. It was easy reading for me too! Good books, are starters to a life time of reading, so get going, and direct your children to good reading.!!
fathers day gift...Anatomy of the Spirit
Another remembered book that I will enjoy reading again, an assist in this crazy world, by helping you understand yourself, and others, and how to survive . Take a peek and see if it is to your liking.
father's day gift, Zen and the Art of Motorchycle Maintenance
This book is what got me started looking at the Seth books by Jane Roberts, and other investigations into the self. I was astonished when I read this book, many many years ago,and never forgot it.
Father's Day ...Seth Speaks
Jane Roberts, wrote a series of books back in the 1970's, she was a well known channeler. If your husband is into learning about selfhood, other dimensions of reality, or if you are...wow! These books are so enlightening, they can change your personality. These are books I treasure and re read, whenever I am looking to be re invigorated about enlightenment. They set me back on course, and help me to be far sighted.
Fathers day gift...DuPont Registry
Just one magazine, a nice coffee cup from the gift area, maybe some chocolates near the register, and he will know you love him. How can any man resist looking at nice cars, and dreaming about owning a special car!
fathers day...is he slightly techi?
if your husband likes to keep up with technology, computing, cameras, tv's, this magazine is fun, to read, and makes a nice father's day gift. Take a peek before you order it.
Ultimate Classic Cars..father's day gift!
Wow, if you can get this coffee table book for this price! Father's day gift, that most men would love!
Beatrix Potter
This is a nice collection to save for your child, after he or she finishes reading them, treasure them as a hand me down to the next generation. We all know Peter Rabbit, and the "kids" just love the stories.
Blueberries for Sal
Blueberries for Sal
Some childrens books that are outstanding, remain forever valuable. Be sure you get this for your baby to pre schooler, along with some of the other books, by this author. Once they start reading they will love to read it to you.
The Last Song, by Nicholas Sparks
Teenager at home? This is a must for parents of teens, and also for the teen. When I was reading this, I remembered my own 17th year, and how difficult it must have been for my mother, alone, because my Dad died young. She was with out her husband to guide her through the tough years of raising two children. We did not scream , we had some disagreements but we worked it out!
My mother was trusting, loving and caring! I learned from that to give back what she gave me, love, respect and caring for her, as did my brother. This book is a breath of fresh air for both parents and teens

This book is great for teachers, musicians, and others who love music and love to learn. It sat on my book table for quite awhile before I could get into it, but then, it was wonderful. I may even read it again, and the amazing thing is that I very seldom do I re read a book, but this, I just might.
Rupert Sheldrake talks about the morphic resonance changing, and lo and behold I opened this book and the author is speaking of the change in DNA, and how it takes 50,000 years. Both men coming at the same conclusion from different perspectives.
Take a peek at the book here, and see if you might like it.

Morphic Resonance
Want to understand more about life, about telepathy, and other strange events? Think morphic resonance and Rupert Sheldrake. He is the Galileo of our time, for some thinkers, and then for others who are open to new discoveries, he is a leader in out of the box thinking....with research and studies for back up.
Go to Rupert Sheldrake in your browser to find his web site. this is someone thinking beyond the box, who has been working in this field for years. His studies point to interesting theories of what and why we are formed, and how. I know people that can see the morphic form and for those that can not there is a machine available that shows it. It is a magnetic field for those of you new to this thought.
MORPHIC RESONANCE AND MORPHIC FIELDS
An Introduction
by Rupert Sheldrake
In the hypothesis of formative causation, discussed in detail in my books A NEW SCIENCE OF LIFE and THE PRESENCE OF THE PAST, I propose that memory is inherent in nature. Most of the so-called laws of nature are more like habits.
My interest in evolutionary habits arose when I was engaged in research in developmental biology, and was reinforced by reading Charles Darwin, for whom the habits of organisms were of central importance. As Francis Huxley has pointed out, Darwin’s most famous book could more appropriately have been entitled The Origin of Habits.
Morphic fields in biology
Over the course of fifteen years of research on plant development, I came to the conclusion that for understanding the development of plants, their morphogenesis, genes and gene products are not enough. Morphogenesis also depends on organizing fields. The same arguments apply to the development of animals. Since the 1920s many developmental biologists have proposed that biological organization depends on fields, variously called biological fields, or developmental fields, or positional fields, or morphogenetic fields.
All cells come from other cells, and all cells inherit fields of organization. Genes are part of this organization. They play an essential role. But they do not explain the organization itself. Why not?
Thanks to molecular biology, we know what genes do. They enable organisms to make particular proteins. Other genes are involved in the control of protein synthesis. Identifiable genes are switched on and particular proteins made at the beginning of new developmental processes. Some of these developmental switch genes, like the Hox genes in fruit flies, worms, fish and mammals, are very similar. In evolutionary terms, they are highly conserved. But switching on genes such as these cannot in itself determine form, otherwise fruit flies would not look different from us.
Many organisms live as free cells, including many yeasts, bacteria and amoebas. Some form complex mineral skeletons, as in diatoms and radiolarians, spectacularly pictured in the nineteenth century by Ernst Haeckel. Just making the right proteins at the right times cannot explain the complex skeletons of such structures without many other forces coming into play, including the organizing activity of cell membranes and microtubules.
Ernst Haeckel Tafel_06
Most developmental biologists accept the need for a holistic or integrative conception of living organization. Otherwise biology will go on floundering, even drowning, in oceans of data, as yet more genomes are sequenced, genes are cloned and proteins are characterized.
I suggest that morphogenetic fields work by imposing patterns on otherwise random or indeterminate patterns of activity. For example they cause microtubules to crystallize in one part of the cell rather than another, even though the subunits from which they are made are present throughout the cell.
Morphogenetic fields are not fixed forever, but evolve. The fields of Afghan hounds and poodles have become different from those of their common ancestors, wolves. How are these fields inherited? I propose that that they are transmitted from past members of the species through a kind of non-local resonance, called morphic resonance.
The fields organizing the activity of the nervous system are likewise inherited through morphic resonance, conveying a collective, instinctive memory. Each individual both draws upon and contributes to the collective memory of the species. This means that new patterns of behaviour can spread more rapidly than would otherwise be possible. For example, if rats of a particular breed learn a new trick in Harvard, then rats of that breed should be able to learn the same trick faster all over the world, say in Edinburgh and Melbourne. There is already evidence from laboratory experiments (discussed in A NEW SCIENCE OF LIFE) that this actually happens.
The resonance of a brain with its own past states also helps to explain the memories of individual animals and humans. There is no need for all memories to be “stored” inside the brain.
Social groups are likewise organized by fields, as in schools of fish and flocks of birds. Human societies have memories that are transmitted through the culture of the group, and are most explicitly communicated through the ritual re-enactment of a founding story or myth, as in the Jewish Passover celebration, the Christian Holy Communion and the American thanksgiving dinner, through which the past become present through a kind of resonance with those who have performed the same rituals before.
The memory of nature
From the point of view of the hypothesis of morphic resonance, there is no need to suppose that all the laws of nature sprang into being fully formed at the moment of the Big Bang, like a kind of cosmic Napoleonic code, or that they exist in a metaphysical realm beyond time and space.
Before the general acceptance of the Big Bang theory in the 1960s, eternal laws seemed to make sense. The universe itself was thought to be eternal and evolution was confined to the biological realm. But we now live in a radically evolutionary universe.
If we want to stick to the idea of natural laws, we could say that as nature itself evolves, the laws of nature also evolve, just as human laws evolve over time. But then how would natural laws be remembered or enforced? The law metaphor is embarrassingly anthropomorphic. Habits are less human-centred. Many kinds of organisms have habits, but only humans have laws. The habits of nature depend on non-local similarity reinforcement. Through morphic resonance, the patterns of activity in self-organizing systems are influenced by similar patterns in the past, giving each species and each kind of self-organizing system a collective memory.
I believe that the natural selection of habits will play an essential part in any integrated theory of evolution, including not just biological evolution, but also physical, chemical, cosmic, social, mental and cultural evolution (as discussed in THE PRESENCE OF THE PAST ).
Habits are subject to natural selection; and the more often they are repeated, the more probable they become, other things being equal. Animals inherit the successful habits of their species as instincts. We inherit bodily, emotional, mental and cultural habits, including the habits of our languages.
Fields of the mind
Morphic fields underlie our mental activity and our perceptions, and lead to a new theory of vision, as discussed in THE SENSE OF BEING STARED AT. The existence of these fields is experimentally testable through the sense of being stared at itself. There is already much evidence that this sense really exists Papers on Staring

The morphic fields of social groups connect together members of the group even when they are many miles apart, and provide channels of communication through which organisms can stay in touch at a distance. They help provide an explanation for telepathy. There is now good evidence that many species of animals are telepathic, and telepathy seems to be a normal means of animal communication, as discussed in my book DOGS THAT KNOW WHEN THEIR OWNERS ARE COMING HOME. Telepathy is normal not paranormal, natural not supernatural, and is also common between people, especially people who know each other well.
In the modern world, the commonest kind of human telepathy occurs in connection with telephone calls. More than 80% of the population say they have thought of someone for no apparent reason, who then called; or that they have known who was calling before picking up the phone in a way that seems telepathic. Controlled experiments on telephone telepathy have given repeatable positive results that are highly significant statistically, as summarized in THE SENSE OF BEING STARED AT and described in detailed technical papers which you can read on this web site. Papers on Telepathy Telepathy also occurs in connection with emails, and anyone who is interested can now test how telepathic they are in the online telepathy test. Experiments Online
The morphic fields of mental activity are not confined to the insides of our heads. They extend far beyond our brain though intention and attention. We are already familiar with the idea of fields extending beyond the material objects in which they are rooted: for example magnetic fields extend beyond the surfaces of magnets; the earth’s gravitational field extends far beyond the surface of the earth, keeping the moon in its orbit; and the fields of a cell phone stretch out far beyond the phone itself. Likewise the fields of our minds extend far beyond our brains.

Lake Placid, New York in the Adirondacks
Lke Placid was the staging location for our antique Bentely Drivers Club. We drove all around the area, and I particularly liked Lake George.
If you are looking for a vacation spot, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza, right down town, in Lake Placid.. From there you can take day trips to the other lakes, including Lake Champlain. It is beautiful country. Lake Placid was the site of the Oympics and has summer ski jump, skating arena, and more....The trip is about 5 hours out the Mass Pike and up route 87, to 73 to 86, right into the center of town the Crowne Plaza is up a steep hill on the left.

Save thousands, maybe more than you will spend on gas, over 5 years?. Did you know that most people sell their homes in the first 5 years, and move up? We have sold 3-4 homes to repeat people over the past years, they started in Ashland with a condo 40 years ago for $39,990, for example and moved to one of our new houses for $59,990 and then to another new house for $79,900 etc., increasing their investment while selling their previous home for more money! Homes puchased in the $50,000 price range are now in the high $300.000 price range. Traditionally, real estate increases in value, through the years, as the population expands, and grows into the suburbs. iNVESTING IN SOMETHING YOU CAN LIVE IN, is worth considering!
INTEREST RATES, COULD BE STARTING TO GO UP IN THE NEXT MONTH!
Imagine, buying your home home for $200,000! It might work out less than rent, depending on your downpayment. Mortgages rates are still under 5%, what a deal, and you may only have a month before interest rates start up again. Once housing activity shows health, the mortgage rates will rise, they have to!
Sell for less and still make money? Talk to Howard or Tim 508-881-6662
I have known some very clever folks, who sold their house for less than they wanted in this market, so they could get a great deal on a new house. Yes, they took less than they wanted, but they still made money and invested in the future, by getting a new house. Look at your home and see if you are willing to take a risk, sell for less, and get your dream home now, while rates are low and new home prices are still low enough.
Buy new, avoid the big replacement bills of aging homes, and neighborhoods!
Retired? Want to share expenses with the children yet, keep your privacy, talk to Tim at 508-881-6662, Sunday thru Thursday
