Mario Lanza - Parlami d'Amore Mariu

It is not Sunday, but I can hear the music of those long ago Sundays on the radio in our home  in Framingham, Mass., U.S. A.,as Pearl and Guido Oliva conducted the Italian Hour for people of Italian ancestry to enjoy the music of their homeland.  My Mom would sing, as she cooked our favorite Italian, Sunday dinner.  Mom was born in this country, but her parents still struggled with English, so Italian music pleased them and she learned it as a child.  All were proud to be called Americans, and they insisted we learn to speak English only, so we the children could bring the family into the life of our country,  America!  A place where we could be free, and dream the impossible, while reaching for the sky!
