Tyrone Power - The Black Swan

Welcome to the St George theater....films for the teenagers....adventure...and more...

Easter Parade -- Easter Parade (Fred Astaire, Judy Garland)

Welcome to the newer movies that played at the Gorman....no Hopalong Cassidy , Roy Rogers, or Gene Autry, so when we graduated from the cowboy movies, we went across the tracks to the" upper theaters."..

New Adventures of Tarzan (1935) - Full Movie

Just to bring you back to what it was like for us "kids" in the 1940's at the Hollis Theater, I don't think the St George or the Gorman played the Tarzan movies..  They played more updated movies at those theaters...the old ones played at the Hollis Theater....We even saw Hopalong Cassidy there..   Did you know there was a Tarzan before Johnny Weismuller?

I Remember You - Ella Fitzgerald

Another version of this great song, this time by the voice...Ella ....smooth like dark choclate covered carmels might sound if they became music?

Beegie Adair - I Remember You

We had fabulous musical shows, and great music writers and lyricists, Broadway was aglow with the great musicals of the age...Life was looking up, and not despairing....we were working toward a better world...What was different in our approach, was it the culture, the music, and the rhetoric, maybe not so barbed , maybe not so over the top ...?

Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You

The arrangement is the VOICE!  Everyone loves this song...and when they pop up in the desert of much of what we hear today, it is like a breath of fresh air.

Peggy Lee - Lover (1952)

Listen to the arrangment, where or when , and or  who is putting spectacular music like this out for our ears, hearts, minds and souls...

Will we ever experience this kind of music again?

Julio Iglesias - La Mer [Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy ending]

Music like this is hard to find this day.....the arrangement is dynamite, everyone recognizes it and it stays with you...

Just as Peggy Lee's version of Lover.... which I will post next...

Your Immortal Body of Light, a book review from my latest reading pile.

At last , with 4 books going at once, I finally finished the fastest and easiest one to read, I am not sure you will want to hear about the others...but, maybe I will tell you....as I near the end of them.

Years ago, was it the 1960's we had Jane Roberts?  Her channeled books by
"Seth" mesmerized me when I found them in the 1980's    Yes, I recalled seeing her
interviewed on television back in the sixties. Life circumstances made me too
skeptical to pay attention. By the 1980's I had reached a point where I was more
willing to enter the world I had once before shunned.  "Seth" captured me and I
jumped into every book  written by  Jane Roberts.[[ASIN:0971119805 The Seth Material: The Spiritual Teacher that Launched the New Age]]  You could start with this one, if interested.

This book " Your Immortal Body of Light",surprised me because the author is a
doctor and goes where few doctors have dared venture.  The last book by a doctor
that remains forever in my mind is [[ASIN:0767900952 The Heart's Code: Tapping the Wisdom and Power of Our Heart Energy]] It was breathtaking, as he spoke of heart transplants and memory.

The message again is clear..... our souls are forever , they are precious and everlasting!
As I write this I think of course!  What else is new?  We all know instinctively
that we are basically displaying our souls when we are on earth.

Whether you are ready for this often considered skeptic information or not ,
it doesn't hurt to read the experiences of someone who allowed himself to put
down defenses and approach the unknown.  In his journey he BECAME !

Wish we all could experience the help he offered the souls he interacted with.

Sometimes I think that drugs  legal as well as illegal and other unnatural
manipulation of the body chemistry opens it to invasion , it goes beyond
dis-ease as we know it but into what is described here as spirit attachment that
disintegrates your body in a parasitic way,  sounds way out there doesn't it?
Maybe we are too primitive to accept the possibilities that might be staring us
in the face!

A very absorbing reading adventure that offers purpose to life.  Even if
you remain skeptic, what more noble purpose is there than attempting to have the
best soul you can have?

Have a little fun today, and enjoy this light and easy to read book...I reviewed it on Amazon, and copied the review here.  You can find the books I mentioned easily on Amazon.
