William Michael Dillon sings September Skies Live in Tallahassee

His new album is Songs of Freedom.    We can never make up for the lost life time, but we can help him , so if you know any way to help his career with your generous spirit, we will all find some peace in this terrible injustice.

William Michael Dillon - DNA Exoneree

I met Willaim Michael Dillon on Fox and Friends this morning.  My heart was sad for his loss of 27 plus years.  I was amazed at the peace in the soul of this man, and in the souls surrounding him.  It reminds me of my Mom telling me, when you can't do anything about something,   don't think about it...  Maybe that is what kept him and his family from being bitter.  I, like everyone get a little too uppity and have to bring myself down in opinions.  I am ashamed afterwards, and each time I feel ashamed I realize it is a lesson to keep from being too positive about your beliefs...because that is when you make mistakes in judgement. Strong opinions that have no room for others views,  hate and angry rhetoric are not the way to peace.  I want to keep being able to feel shame, so I can grow in my inner peace, hope you do to!  Michael is now singing and I hope I can find his recording so you too, will think of him if you go to the record store, or buy on line.

Etta Jones, Through a long and sleepless night

Nice version, but can't find a version with a jazz beat....

"Through a Long and Sleepless Night" from Come to the Stable

Here is a version of the song, Dean Martin , and Etta James did their version.  I think a jazz beat would be terrific for this song, Sinatra style.

Bobby Darin - Through a Long and Sleepless Night (1959)

what a weekend, so many souls left our earth, angels among them, and this love song came to me....I hope that someone will record it again, it was and is a wonderful song.  I think it is time for this type of music to come back, to help us focus on the importance of love in the world.

Artie Shaw My Heart Stood Still

This is my all time favorite by Artie Shaw, and I love it with Dick Haymes singing...Maybe I will be spoiled by finding my favorites, and not have as much fun listening to Siriously!  No way!  Have fun today, be happy, pray for Rod Stewart today!

Artie Shaw- These Foolish Things

More Artie Shaw for today, then ...just listening to Siriously Sinatra 71, for the rest of the day....my favorite station on Sirious XM

SOFTLY AS IN A MORNING SUNRISE - Artie Shaw

I can't say anthing new, except, maybe you might like to read the book about Artie Shaw, available at Amazon.

" What's New?" Artie Shaw & Helen Forrest

Talk about swooning, I just loved Artie Shaw, and here is his rendition of a great song, that never quite made it, but it is a great song to bring back...

Nat King Cole, June Christy, Mel Torme - How High The Moon

How can anyone beat this!  June Christy, was a jazz singer of all time!

Mel Tormé - Gone With the Wind

Another over and over song!  I think it was a 45, which is still tucked away in my large record collection.  Mel Torme!  What more can I say!

Bunny Berigan - I Can't Get Started

First heard this song in Worcester, one of our friends, George, had a girlfriend who gave a party at her house...mistake...teens unsupervised...needless to say....Carol walked on the ceiling and you can guess how that happened!  Loved Bunny Berrigan from that night...when I wanted to leave fast...

Rod Stewart - I Can't Get Started

Here is another prayer, that goes around the world for Rod!  We love you Rod!

Rod Stewart - Rhythm of my heart [HQ]

Lets return the blessing to Rod Stewart, say a prayer for him now and each time we hear his great voice.  Thanks Rod !

Ray Charles - Moon over Miami

Love, love, love this, by Ray Charles, could play it over and over.  Miami, became a reality to us in the 50's when we had more cars , by then some of us kids had our own cars....and we could drive the 1,600 plus or minus miles from Framinghamm Mass, to Miami , Florida.  What glamour on the beach!  What worlds opened up to us!

Kay Starr - Wheel Of Fortune - 1952 - HQ Video

This was a great song for Kay Starr, just as Comes a long a love, both were made for her big voice!

Kay Starr - Comes A-Long A-Love

Jump back to the 50's with this upbeat song!  Kay Starr, we heard her singing everywhere, the bowling alley, the ice cream stop and the car radios!

Then I'll Be Tired Of You - John Coltrane

Can't help but think of us as all having our own inner rhythm through life, when I hear different versions of the same songs.  Some of the songs reach down deep to the level of the forgotten stars we come from, and some don't touch the surface.  We all have songs that are written for us, Ella was an exceptional woman, you have to look hard to find something you don't think is great by her.

Johnny Mathis - Then I'll be tired of you

comparing ...this song is Johnny Mathis...I think..

Dick Haymes - I'll Be Tired Of You

Dick Haymes, quite a story...behind the voice...
