Quincy Jones - Wikipedia, the free ,encyclopedia
Quincy Jones - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I was listening to Siriusly Sinatra on 71 when I heard one of the sons of Rosemary Clooney say that Quincy Jones changed Frank Sinatra's singing tempo from the waltz tempo to the jazz tempo. I always thought it was Nelson Riddle that made the difference, but now, it appears that change in tempo is what made the magic. Quincy Jones was fantastic and contributed so much to the music world, hope you will take the time to appreciate his career, here.

Dinah Washington ft Quincy Jones & His Orchestra - Blue Gardenia (1961)
Sirius Radio causes me to stick on Channel 71, Siriously Sinatra....just love it, the guests do a great job. I just heard this a wonderful song, that deserves to live forever. The sons of Rosemary Clooney talked about their mother, and how she held Sarah Vaughn in high esteem. AJ Lambert the grand daughter of Frank Sinatra, his daughters and son, all have a place on the show. I just heard a Rod Stewart, number, and he is up there on my list of faves.... loved the whole morning of music, not watching and listening to

Will the mystery films of the future be about Arbitrage? Will they be about the congressmen who forced the banks to take sub prime mortgages and caused the world financial markets to collapse? Will they be about the gospel shows? Will they be about a distant hero, while men of bravery acted on his command? Will the stories be about the Presidential elections and who can pound who on picayune small slip ups while the world collapses?

Vera Lynn - A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square 1940
This lady was one of the angels of the 2nd World War, her music helped us all carry the burden of a World War, that seemed to last forever for those of us who were children at the time.

Mel Tillis Live In Branson "Ruby"
Mel Tillis stayed with me, because I was so stunned to learn that he had a terrible stutter, and when he sang he lost the stutter, so I tried it with my student who stuttered in the 6th grade and it worked. Just pass it along to anyone you know that stutters... It is amazing, to see how he overcame a serious problem and became a famous performer and song writer.
