Ella Fitzgerald "Shiny Stockings"

So Rare, by Ella is not on You Tube, so I thought I would give you one of my fave jazz numbers by Basie and Ella....wow!   I have to find the name of the album that contains the song....,maybe next week, when I change the music in the car.  Don't forget to collect c/d's you will regret the loss of them in the future.    Listen to this great sound, great scat, great dancing music!   Imagine my grandson Kenny , got enveloped in Ella, driving around in my car, as a young boy.  He loves this song.!!! Enjoy then get cooking ....

So Rare Jimmy Dorsey

I met Ella Fitzgerald singing this in my car this morning on the way to exercise.  It reminded me of the greatest version of the song by Jimmy Dorsey.   I had to find it and give those of you who never heard it, a chance to live to music that brightens your day and gets you going.  I will post Ella too, because her version is lush, but Jimmy Dorsey,,,,ahhh! the best!  Have a great day!

I was getting ready to post this song, when I heard this morning that it broke out on this day! I think it was a late 50's song!
Wow, did we have fun dancing to this!  Remember it from the movie "Dirty Dancing?"
