Wow, do I love King Arthur flour, I just noticed an ad on my blog, with a big delicious cupcake. I love to bake, always have, so I started getting orders from this company.
The baked buttermilk donuts are wonderful . I ordered two baking pans, and a couple of prepared mixes for donuts. Then , the lemon ginger scones, yummy!
Try it if you like to bake, you will love the products. I just got a new bread machine from them, and it makes the loaf sideways, which I prefer. It is easier to get out of the baking pan, also.
Don't forget to sprinkle in your baking some flaxseed or add a little flaxsee meal to your flour....

A man of Good Will, and common sense, Paul Von Ward
Paul Von Ward
The current U.S. situation weighs heavily on my mind. With our nation's economic difficulties (including the Herculean challenge of avoiding a national bankruptcy), political deadlocks at many levels, and questions about the integrity of major institutions, I believe everyone, regardless of profession or job, should apply some intelle...ct and social skills to the solutions.
Many of you know me for my interdisciplinary, historical/scientific/spiritual books and articles over the past 15 years. But only some know about my first book (Dismantling the Pyramid: Government by the People — now out of print) and have asked if it's still relevant. Its roots lie in my Vietnam-era U.S. Navy service and years in the U.S. Foreign Service and in Washington (A PDF version is available from the book orders page at the link below)
I have just written an abbreviated story of how that book came about and why many of its conclusions are still relevant today. I include the personal part of the story not because I'm proud of it (in fact, I failed to use for the common good many of the opportunities I had), but because I believe all of us gain insights along the way that can be useful later on. Go to my website blog link below for the rest of the story.....See More

One of world's rarest collector cars
1938 Horch 853 Special Roadster One of the rarest cars in the world, only 3 in existence.
Sam cooke - Only sixteen
She was only 16....need I say more...?? Life doors begin to open and the journey begins
Heartsick, depressed, know some very ill person?
"Secrets of the Heart,"explores the deep heartsick moments of life, but it is one of the most uplifting books you can read when you are down and deep. Think of the new science as you read it, think about the miracles, the premonition, the eternal love.
Maybe they are all true? Help somone that is struggling with life, by giving them this book to read. It is a struggle to overcome the hardships of life, but Meggie did it, and won in the end.

Earl Bostic - Flamingo played at fabulous Storyland jazz club Boston
Earl Bostic and magical Storyland, a jazz club where Meggie (Secrets of the Heart) went to dance to the wonderful saxophone led band, come with Meggie, back to the 50's and into the sadness and joy of a full life, that brings hope to everyone in the end.
Billy May - Perfidia - (Audiofoto).wmv
Gotcha! Try and find the albums! If you have one in your collection as I do you are lucky. Remember the Totem Pole, at Norumbega Park, Newton.....we teens had it all in the 50's if you lived in the Boston area!
The Guess Who - Clap For The Wolfman (1974) Tribute to: "Wolfman Jack"
It's a dark night here in New England at 6:02 pm and time for the Wolfman, back to the 50's with the King of the Midnight hour....great music...entertained us from his radio station... Imagine you can still buy RECORDS....
Stephane Grapelli - As time goes by (Casablanca)
It is not fair to just dream with Django, and not mention Stephane, they are like the cake and the icing! We all fell in love with this song, tears came to our eyes, as the story played out before us. Surprise, I just saw Teresa Brewer with Stephane, I will check it out and post it, if I like it.. Oh oh,.can't find it anywhere, should have listened then...
Django Reinhardt - J'attendrai Swing 1939
One has to listen to this gorgeous music over and over again, thru time and place. It travels through the stars with us, out into forever and back. Love it!
Bioshock 2 Soundtrack - 18 - Django Reinhardt;Stéphane Grappelli - La Me...
The grey afternoon, brings this song to mind, it is bitter sweet and expresses a longing for what we are searching for, that lies beyond the sea. In the game Bioshock, the city under the sea was lost, have you finished the game, to know if it was ever found again.?
Bunny Berigan - I Can't Get Started, Jazz 78
I
In," Secrets of the Heart," Meggie meets Bunny Berrigan at a teenage house party in the early 1950's, that is she meets this recording. Everyone did a dance we called the Jitter Bug. The record dates from 1937, but was still alive in the 50's as a great jazz song. The song quality is not the greatest, but, buy it if you are a collector, it might be hard to find in the future.
Redbone - Come And Get Your Love - The Midnight Special 1974
Jump ahead almost 40 years, wonderful song, full of rhythm, upbeat, and I liked the Indian dance introduction. In Ashland, Mass., we have created Village of America, that tells a small story in names of the birth of the United States.
Starting with the Village of the Explorers, then Mayflower, Independence, and next is Constitution Village, followed by Louisiana Purchase. The town square gazebo is going to be called 6 Nations, after the wonderful Indian Treaty that helped guide our magnificent Constitution.

LEARNING CENTERS
Spread the Good Will, are the words that we have been entrusted with. Does it mean religion? Or does it mean, help each other, do what is right and best? Spread the Good Will, think about it, your eyes will open to a new world of happy feelings, smiles and knowing you are doing what is right.
We don't need teachers for this, we just need to observe what we are doing as a society, that we think is liberal and kind, then come to the realization...... we are making a society dependent on Government. From the beginning of time we have learned by example, apprenticing, and from training at the bottom and heading up. It is not sufficient to give help in the form of apartment, food stamps and a monthly check, this is a pay off to get rid of the problems.
We need to think in light of LEARNING CENTERS, that house needy families , while offering safe haven, training, child nurturing, and other services needed to get back into society. This is true help!
